We built Meridian to be simple and trustworthy. We collect only what we need to run the service, we never sell your data, and we never will.

1. Who we are

Meridian ("we", "us", "our") is a project management tool available at meridianplan.com. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at hello@meridianplan.com.

2. What data we collect

We collect the minimum amount of data needed to provide the service:

Account data — your email address and encrypted password when you register.
Project data — the projects, tasks, and other content you create inside the app.
Usage data — basic technical information such as browser type and IP address, collected automatically by our infrastructure provider.

3. How we use your data

To provide and maintain the Meridian service.
To authenticate you when you sign in.
To store and sync your project data across sessions.
To respond to support requests you send us.

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Cookies

Meridian uses only essential cookies required for authentication and keeping you signed in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. No cookie consent banner is required as all cookies are strictly necessary for the service to function.

5. Data storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, hosted on AWS in the EU (eu-west-2, London). Supabase is SOC 2 compliant and encrypts data at rest and in transit.

6. Data retention

We retain your account and project data for as long as your account is active. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, please contact us at hello@meridianplan.com and we will process your request within 30 days.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under GDPR or other applicable laws, including:

The right to access the personal data we hold about you.
The right to correct inaccurate data.
The right to delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
The right to data portability.

8. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate Meridian:

Supabase — database and authentication (privacy policy)
Netlify — website hosting (privacy policy)

9. Children's privacy

Meridian is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
